Sprite Bezel - Rolex's Most Understated GMT

Since the beginning of 2025, international gold prices have experienced a strong surge, breaking historical highs. Gold watches have also garnered significant attention during this period of strong growth. Generally, most people associate "gold watches" with rose gold or yellow gold, often overlooking white gold. However, while both are considered "gold watches," 18K white gold, due to its color resemblance to stainless steel, possesses a more understated quality.

Green is Rolex's brand color, and its importance is self-evident. Among Rolex's many products, the green Submariner enjoys immense popularity, with the saying "anything green is bound to be a hit" circulating in the watch industry. On the other hand, the black-incorporated "Sprite Bezel" also exudes a very sophisticated and understated elegance.

The first replica Rolex GMT-Master II "Sprite Bezel" watch was launched in 2022, featuring an Oystersteel case and offering either an Oyster bracelet or a Jubilee bracelet (Lexus bracelet). The most eye-catching feature of this timepiece, besides the use of a green/black two-tone bezel, is the placement of the crown at the 9 o'clock position, making it a so-called "left-handed watch" that caters to the needs of a niche market.

The newly released white gold "Sprite Bezel" in 2025 largely retains the design of its predecessor. However, to enhance differentiation, it features a green dial similar to the bezel color, with the GMT hand changed to white gold to increase contrast. Besides the color difference, another key difference is that the white gold "Sprite Bezel" is currently only available with an 18K white gold Oyster bracelet; a Jubilee bracelet (five-link bracelet) is not yet available.
